You know right now how illogical that conclusion is.

 

Darcy. A little better in every area save power than Ketchel, and was probably durable enough to weather Ketchel's best shots and wear him down for a stoppage.

 

ketchel behind on pts gets warned for low blows in the tenth, in the next round in a clinch he punches darcy in the throat a couple of times then when the ref breaks the fighters ketchel launches a furious two fisted attack and ko`s darcy

Darcy would prove to be Ketchel's superior on the inside and outside. Incredibly strong at the weight. Darcy systematically hammered tough George Chip who apparently had success with the young Greb. Darcy had a forceful left jab and Ketchel would be a target for it.
I like Darcy by UD against the maniacal, and inhumanly tough, Stanley Ketchel.

Where is Mickey Walker in this tournament ????? He would make considerable noise against anyone at the weight. Shame. Shame.

 

Stanley Knocks out Darcy IMO. Stanley brought a combination of Handspeed/One Punch Two fisted Power in the middleweight division we hadn't seen before or since. I think he brought too much firepower to the table for the skilled but breakable Darcy.

 

Ketchel by ko for me, because he hits very hard!

Darcy will come to fight. Meaning he will come to knockout Ketchel. When Ketchel plows forward, Darcy will not take a step back. He will challenge Ketche head on. I dont think anyone slugger at 160 in history can outslug Ketchel. Darcy recorded a great win over Chip, and was clearly a ATG in the making at 21 years old, but Ketchel was special. Darcy appeared like he had a good set of whiskers, but so did everyone until they ran into the freit train ketchel!

 

Darcy may have been all his supporters say he was , but for all his potential he was still a work in progress.The little film of either shows Darcy to be the better boxer and mover,imo,but Ketchel had that thunderous power,and was more proven imo.
Ketchel could ko you early or late he was dangerous all through a fight I take him by stoppage in the last couple of rounds ,but Darcy would give him at least a sizable tussle,a superior Papke type war.
