Just because you've been watching fights for a very long time, it doesn't mean to say you're any good a judge. As it happens, I agree with you on about 70% of stuff, but still. My great uncle was there at the Louis-Farr fight with a clear view of all ring action and he says Farr was robbed (despite admitting that there was blood covering his whole face). Of course, I only saw it on film, but we all know Louis won.

Just as my grandfather is a boxing fan as has been since the 1950s (he'd be on here if he could work a computer). He says things that we wouldn't agree with for a second, despite all his experience.

Is that why my pound-for-pound list goes like this?:

    1. Henry Armstrong
    2. Harry Greb
    3. Ray Robinson
    4. Benny Leonard
    5. Ezzard Charles
    6. Willie Pep
    7. Roberto Duran
    8. Archie Moore
    9. Joe Gans
    10. Barney Ross
    11. Sam Langford
    12. Muhammad Ali
    13. Joe Louis
    14. Bob Fitzsimmons
    15. Jimmy Wilde

Ike Williams is my favourite fighter by the way :good

And pipe down a bit. I'm 6ft 7in and 147lbs, I would tear your head off.

I mentioned how long I have been watching fights because you said I should try observing instead of reading records,no other reason.
Old age may bring experience ,but it doesn't allways bring wisdom.
As J M Barrie wrote in The Admirable Chrighton,"Im not young enough to know everything".

Tommy Farr told my Father that Louis beat him, he did however, insist that he beat Braddock ,but didnt get the decision .

As to you preferring modern fighters ,I was pulling your ,VERY ,long leg.
Still to borrow a phrase ,when you first appeared on here in your callow youth, it was all Hagler, then Duran, now you have a crush on old IKE.
Williams is a fine boxer to be a fan of,as I mentioned to you sometime ago when you extolled the virtues of Manos de Piedras.
Your fistic endeavours seem to have gone very quiet this year, didnt you have an offer to fight on a bill someone off here was involved with? Was it Achilles?
Stick to gloved encounters, there is always some one there to rescue you ,if things get sticky.:nono
And try to develop a sense of humour my Crouch lookalike adversary.
You have the ability to analyse and read a fight, but take yourself far too seriously, especially for one so young.:good

    [Im 5ft 8 1/2in and 188lbs ,I would break your ribs]

And my Dad was bigger and tougher than your great Uncle .

Must go ,got to make the wages up ,have a nice day!
