Young Roy Jones is indeed a nightmare for most at Middle, but your throwing him in with the greatest Middleweight in history. There is an agenda here from the original poster to get Monzon out of this Tournament by dragging Roy back from 168 and 175 to take care of him. Who is making these matchups, why wasnt it Monzon v Hopkins, or Monzon v Cerdan or Monzon v Hagler, the reason is that the only way to dump Monzon is to bring in Jones because none of these other guys have a chance, its such an obvious 'agenda' based thread ..
The original poster is leading you guys by the nose until his 2 favourite Middleweights are in the final and you all pick one .. Jones should be in the 175 Tournament with Spinks, Greb, Tunney, Moore, Charles ..

Roy Jones could beat Monzon, but if the only way to beat Monzon is to bring a guy back from 175 to do it then the answer to 'Who is the best Middleweight in history' is clear, and his name is Carlos Monzon ....

Howabout we have Ezzard Charles v Monzon next
or, Michael Spinks v Monzon ..... Lets get Carlos Monzon out of this tournament at all costs, so Hopkins can win !!

Ain't it annoying when people tell you to calm down when you're already calm? McVey likes to use that one on me.

No, 28 is not young, but Hopkins was an inexperienced fighter is the point.

Of course I've watched Hopkins and I think that picking him to beat Griffith and INSISTING that a fighter with 1 12 rounder under his belt is CLEARLY superior to Emile Griffith is silly.

Toney was more weight drained than usual according to Donald Macrae and Toney himself.

He broke camp early and moved his work because he was having a struggle before this fight to make the weight. Unique.

He NEVER fought at 168 again because making weight was "hell". Indicative.

He refused a rematch with Roy only because it had to be fought at 168 according to the contract.

He persued his manager with a gun when she suggested he tried to make 168 again

I'm sure you disagree and we'll agree to disagree.

I believe Roy is hell for Monzon stylistically. Jones by decision over 15.
