OK, I am biased, as I am currently reading Rosenfeld's Burley's bio, but I have I still have a lot of respect for Stanley, my all-time favourite 160lber.

Burley to bamboozle and perhaps even humiliate Ketchel.

Ketchel, suffers as he would always benefit from 20+ rounders under the looser rules of the pre 20s.

I can see this happening but i can also see the strength of Ketchel doing well for him, not allowing Burley to operate.

I'll pick Burley to win on points, boxing in his usual manner, maybe Ketchel would do better with the extra rounds, as you said.

    Not an easy call.

Both men had the power to put heavyweights to sleep.

Burley was the better all round technician though Ketchel apllied more pressure and was probably stronger.

I will go with Ketchel due to his pressure and size advantage but I am not betting any money.

Interesting match-up. It all depends on if Ketchel would be able to get away with some of his rough tactics and if Burley could find the tactics to fend him off. I think Burley's awkward style would allow him to do so.

    Burley razor thin decision.

I think Burley has the skill and chin to beat Ketchel. He would get that chin tested though.

Burley outboxes Ketchel at long range, beating him to the punch and even hurting him. Ketchel try's to turn it into a hugfest but is largely ineffective but makes it a hard fight.

Burley wide. Rushing prime Burley gets you hit very hard in the face, repeatedly, by punches you don't keep coming. When Ketchel closes, he's not significantly stronger, if at all.

    Something like 10-5.
