    Meh, fair enough. Agree to disagree, then. I just think we're dealing with different classes of fighter, even though Bennie at his best would've been a handful for most anyone at the weight. I just don't think he was that level of fighter when it came to actually winning the big fights.

    That is entirely fair enough. Even if Lamotta wins it is made very tough for him IMO.

    Good point.
    Then again, defeating, Valdez, Hagler or Monzon. is a very tall order, even for LaMotta to accomplish.

    True, but Briscoe was losing to a much lesser quality of fighter than those guys during his days in Philly. If anything, the 10 round distance would hurt Briscoe more than vice-versa, as he would often find himself on the losing end of it against fighters that shouldn't have had any business beating him.
