    Middleweight Tourney, New York versus Philadelphia. round 1. group A. New York's Doug DeWitt is taking on Philly's George Benton. First round bout is ten rounds.
    Please give your prediction & please give explanaition for your choice.

    Benton is the better fighter here...more skilled and well rounded.

    He takes a pretty one sided points verdict over the game DeWitt.

    I think Benton has what it takes to stop DeWitt a la Kalambay, actually. Not only was he a bigger puncher, but technically speaking he was just as good, and an excellent punch picker.

    Just cause Kalamby did it doesnt mean Benton could do it. Remember the Hit man hit him with everything and couldnt do it. Dewitt was at the end when he lost to Kalamby after awhile even the best chins get chipped away at. Not to many fighters in history would have kod a prime Dewitt.

    That being said Benton is a tier above Dewitt and would win a wide decision.
