Last bout of the first round. Middleweight Tourney:New York. Vs. Philadelphia New York sensation Alex Ramos taking on Philly's crafty Bernard Hopkins. in a ten round first round bout.
This is an easy fight for Hopkins. At one time Alex Ramos was highly regarded but it didnt take long to find out he wouldnt make it far as a pro. Great amatuer though i remember my dad raving about him saying he would might end up being a great fighter, he seemed to never live up to the potential he showed early on. Also his chin wasnt too hot. Even at his best he was a lower tier top 10 guy. In B-Hops prime he was stopping guys and he could punch he would ko Ramos. Hopkins tko 6
Yeah, Ramos was highly touted & had, skills. just wasnt durable & a weak chin. He probably would hang a couple of rounds with B-Hop. Then get stopped around the fifth.
