    Group C. first round fight. New York's Carmen Basilio takes on Phliadelphia's Curtis Parker in a first round ten round bout.

    Please give prediction for the bout. & please explain your decision.

    Basilio's brawling style is right up Parkers alley. But Basilio would be the busier man & capture the decision. Parker would be in it though, till the end.

    This plays out a bit like Hamsho-Parker. Basilio might be the smaller man, but I can see him weathering Parker's shots, and outworking Curtis en route to a close decision victory in a hell of a fight.
