It appears Tony Jones picked Hopkins. Well Tony, what do you make of the fact that of all of the great MW champions, Hopkins himself only admits defeat to one? He believed he would've either beaten or been even money with both Robinson and Hagler, whereas he picked himself to lose "more often than not" against Monzon.

Maybe you oughta learn how to analyze before making ridiculous comments. Monzon was one of the least flashy, but most effective fighters of all time.

Hopkins HIMSELF said he wouldn't beat Monzon.

    Tony Jones=Biggest **** in a while.

I'm just having my daily read in the classic forum, when I come across something I've yet to hear from any boxing fan ever. I've never heard that argument against Carlos before, wow, well done, give Tony Jones a medal.

    (sigh)

Emile Griffith before he killed Paret. He had practically nothing left against Monzon and lost his killer instinct.

Hagler, Robinson and Monzon could all finish #1 in an alltime middleweight tournament.

Lolz you guys take the bait faster than a pool full of starving piranhas. Look, im not a Monzon fan ok? thats just my opinion and you are welcome to yours. I go a little overboard cos i like winding up the over sensitives but jeez, chill the **** out. Monzon was a woman-beating murderer anyways.

Welcome to the forum Tony, dont let the naysayers scare you away.

Monzon has some sutle skills, but his overall skillset disadvanatges and his speed disadvantage would see him get dominated

So based on that logic you also believe Lennox is the greatest of all time and would beat Ali and Foreman I take it :yep Lennox is the GOAT :happy

From a personal point of view I like Hagler's brutality the most, but I would realistically choose Greb or Robinson.
