Have you seen the fight? Everybody who wasnt finnish thought Sylvester won rightfully. So, shut up. If Asikainen beats Ghevor which isn´t sure than there will be a 3rd match for sure. Would like to see it since the first two fights were pretty good.

btw. you don´t know VHB and what he posts in the euro board. He´s a total Asikainen nuthugger.

And yeah there are happening fishy things in Germany, as do in the US, UK, France, Italy, Russia, Japan ... it´s about money and when it comes to that they are all the same.

    Well done,vhb!

Buddy McGirt is crap and shouldnt be on anyone's top 15 middle weight list. Totally overrated American fighter!

I am also sold on Pirog who would probably beat quite a handful of the higher ranked rivals like Castillejo,Rubio,or Marquez right now.By the way he is scheduled to face Kuvanych Tojgonbaev(29-3) on a fight show in Russia at the end of this year.

not a top tier chin but amazing skills and can pack a punch in his cross. he was rated for a long time but for some reason dropped off the map.

Look guys, Daniel Geale... I´m sure he´s a good fighter, but he doesn´t even fight comparable opponents... if he would stop Yori Boy Campas for an example, that would show some quality since only the top guys have done that. Yeah, like my nuthugging target Asikainen :D

Sylvester might have better scalps than Griffin, but my ranking is about competing with the best. I think anyone agrees that Griffin and especially Asikainen are WAY MORE DANGEROUS world title challengers than Sylvester. Sylvester has fought like a robot since he overcame the loss to Asikainen. He could bring nothing new to the table against Sturm. His style is most basic and predictable. He does everything very well that he does, but that isn´t so much.

Dan Rafael realizes this too - in the new ESPN ratings, Asikainen is 4th, Griffin is 7th, Sylvester 8th.

Okay, Geale DID fight Ajetovic. Let me put it this way: after the next removal, he becomes an entry in my list.

Ajetovic is a durable guy, Pirog also went the distance with him. However, Pirog won every single round, while Ajetovic gave Geale some fight. So I think Geale´s list of opponents is indeed way too green to justify a world rating. IBO strap alone means nothing.

Really looking forward to Pirog´s fight with Toygonbayev. No doubt that Pirog will win, but I have a feeling that Toygonbayev will be cautious and makes it to the cards. Pirog UD.

I read McGirt was hurt and that Upshaw was robbed by the result of majority draw.

Yeah. McGirt was even worse than I thought. He is now removed from my ratings, and I don´t rate him even in my Pan-Am list. I even think old Yori Boy Campas would thrash him.

Mahir Oral, ranked #15 in the world, enjoyed a good stoppage victory over Alexander Sipos in their rematch. Early on, the awkward Sipos managed to give Oral some hard bargain, but Oral began to outbox Sipos as the fight advanced. Sipos gave up on his stool before the 8th round, after claiming a hand injury and complaining on how Oral is too fast for him.

This list looks MUCH better to me than the ones cited above. Problem is that MW is just weak as **** right now. When you're even thinking about ranking prospects like Pirog and Geale who haven't proven squat, you know the division sucks. I'd probably cut out Marquez entirely (didn't he retire anyway?), move up Zbik and Geale and squeeze Golovkin and Quillin in at 13 and 14 and leave Oral where he is.

Now that I think of it, Ornelas should probably be rated too if Rubio is that high, but it's too much fuss for me to figure out.

Eastman is South American, from Guyana.

I'm not sure how you can rate Dionisio Miranda and not rate Peter Quillin, who convincingly beat Miranda this summer.

Well, I can see your points. It´s a weak division but still my favourite one in the moment. I´m a fan of Abraham, Sylvester, Winky and Pavlik and I like Sturm, Ghevor, Zbik and Castillejo.
