Tshifhiwa "Atomic Spider" Munyai has been Commonwealth bantamweight, IBO super bantamweight, and South African national lightweight champion in his lengthy over-two-decade pro campaign. The veteran comes in having lost 4 of his last 5, but all by decision - only stopped thrice in his career.

Both young Mexicans have seven professional victories, but David "Torbellino" (Whirlwind) Sánchez has zero losses while Kevin Antonio "El Panterita" (Panther Cub) Cuevas Arenas has two.

 

Sánchez literally does a little twirling gimmick while the ring emcee is announcing his name and nickname.

 

Cuevas isn't here to lay down!

 

Really impressed with the underdog's effort here.

 

They're using Twitter boxing journalist (and mutual of mine) JulianusJulius's tweets on X as their unofficial scorecard. JJ has it 19 apiece, giving the first round to Cuevas and second to Sánchez.

I had the second to Cuevas by a cunny hair, up 20-18 now.

 

Sánchez began taking a beating late in R3. Hooks slamming in from either side undefended, rocking him to & fro like a ship in a storm. He wasn't ready for this.
