He won the first round as he landed the more meaningful punches.

Harris looks like he is skipping school without a hall pass, even though he is 29

    Round 1 Martinez 10-9

Excellent first round from both men, Martinez landing the far heavy shots, some literally moving Harris on his axis, but Harris hung in there landing several combos and jabs along the way.

Julio Cesar Martinez Aguilar vs. Jay Harris

RD 1: Oh boy. Ohboyohboyohboy. A-hem.

This two start trading jabs and hooks. Harris looks to try and establish something and Julio is all, 'nah' and nails Harris with some nice shots, sending Harris into retreat. He does it again later in the round. El Rey is doing his beautiful 'combination where he switches from orthodox back to southpaw back to orthodox'. One last combination by Julio and a one-two aaaaaaand I love Julio Cesar Martinez.

    10-9 Martinez.

    Round 1 Martinez 10-9
    Round 2 Martinez 10-9, close

Jay did much better ion the 2nd, landed several hard rights down the middle. But Martinez still landed enough one twos and a flurry late that had Harris hurt to nick it.

    RD 1: 10 - 9 Martinez

RD 2: Martinez doubles the hook. Harris tries to hook the body and throws a couple jabs that are blocked. Martinez picks up the pace and briefly gets Harris on the ropes. Martinez doubles up the hook, throws a one-two that sends Harris across the ring and this is just not fair. Harris actually lands a very good combination right there just as I say that. Martinez puts on more pressure and lands a few more good shots. Just as Harris thinks he has the winning shot Martinez DRILLS him with a hook.

    10-9 Martinez.

    20-18 Martinez
