Wasn't even that competitive. Two cards at 116-112? Looks like they wanted to rob Mikey but couldn't find enough close rounds to do it.

One of the best technicians in the sport. Remind you of JMM or MAB, even. Has more than enough power in those gloves to stop most people too, but even if he doesn't, has the variety, footwork, angles and volume to smash you into pieces over 12.

Absolutely love watching him. Can't imagine there's any boxing fan who can have any bone to pick with him, he does literally everything well.

He's just too lazy offensively, and the (lack of) gameplan adjustment for Mikey was a really poor decision. Reminds me of Toney once the legs were gone, which is kinda crazy considering he's not old. He's got the physical attributes to come forward, just not the willingness to master the skills and execute it.

Some of these rounds make me wish the winner would earn 5 mil. And the loser gets 25k. I have a feeling you would get more rounds like the 12th haha. either way Mikey showed he would have beaten any version of broner. Pre maidana post maidana wouldn't have mattered.

Agreed. He's got HOF ability in my book...if you want to find a prototype boxer-puncher today, Mikey's a prime example

With this defeat, he is basically now entrenched in the role of gatekeeper / stepping stone for the elite at 140 and 147.

the judges score cards were fair 116-112 or 117-111. broner won maybe round 1 and 2. probably at least round 1. round 10 and 12 likely broner

1,10,12 117-111 is more than fair

I think the fights he needs in order to build a legacy of greatness are at 140 (and even '47 in the coming years).

 he just introduced himself to everyone whos ever heard of adrien broner. the man is must watch sports entertainment, now he just needs a guy to get him into a war to see those historic fights i think are in mikeys future.
i think he needs a couple more fights at 140 to let his body settle in at the new weight, it will increase his strength and power, then start looking for a crawford, or pac if hes still around. the man is p4p.

There was nothing Floyd-like about Mikey(other than being dominant vs his opponent) tonight.

He gets my respect as he a yes man but I'm not sure how you can say he's an exciting fighter, can't be bothered looking but in that betting thread the other day where this bloke said he'd put loads on Broner I actually said he'll let you down and I'd be amazed if any other Broner showed up,it's not a talent thing but at these lower weights if you're good enough you can hide for twelve rounds to prevent the KO,I'm certain that's why he does this.
