WBA super flyweight title eliminator. González is ranked #3 and Moloney #2 by the WBA.

The bookies have Moloney a heavy unbackable favourite to win by decision. I think i will go with the bookies.

This is like the biggest fight in the last 20 years to take place in Chile if I’m not mistaken, so I think the atmosphere could be kinda raucous and potentially influence the judges to have a bad night. I’m hopeful Moloney rises to the level I think he’s capable of and has a career performance tonight that makes it impossible for the judges to rob him

Damn the broadcast is marketing this as the most important fight in Chile of the decade. This really makes me nervous about the judges lol

I hope Moloney stop him so we don’t have to worry about the cards

    R1 Moloney 10-Gonzalez 9
Pretty much an entire round of infighting. A bit messy but a decent amount of punches thrown. Moloney landed cleaner and threw more so I think he clearly takes the round

    Round 2
    Moloney 10-9 Gonzalez
They both are starting to unload a bit more and put more on their punches. Moloney is keeping his attack balanced and attacking the body whenever he remembers to (usually at the behest of his corner). Gonzalez seems a bit unsure what to do. He started the round better and seemed to be getting a bit of respect from Moloney but he began to look a bit confused in the second half of the round.

    Round 3
Moloney 10-9 Gonzalez (first round I could see the judges potentially robbing Moloney of though. Was a bit closer)
This is basically a mirror image of round 1 through the first minute, except Moloney is throwing more to the body. Gonzalez is complaining about low blows, Moloney gets warned, and then lands another borderline shot, which causes Gonzalez to turn his back and complain again. Gonzalez is looking a bit sharper this round and is moving well to avoid punches but Moloney still seems to be landing cleaner.

Both men digging to the bread basket. Gonzales taking the shots well. Looks like Maloney might have gone to hard too soon. Gonzales is coming back.

    Round 4
    Moloney 9-10 Gonzalez
This is basically being fought entirely on the inside, and it seems to be what Gonzalez wants, but it also seems to be a horrible game plan. He has his best moment of the fight when he steps to the side and lands s really solid body punch but he doesn’t seem to have much on his punches. Gonzalez is starting to pick up his pace a little and lands s few nice uppercuts inside. Moloney decides to stay on the outside and box Gonzalez for the last minute of the round and has a few nice moments, however he may have lost this round on workrate
