I'll call this poll official, cause I couldn't find anyone else who did a poll on this, and I always enjoy seeing the results of these things. :smoke Now, for this fight, I am pretty torn on who to pick... My gut tells me Rios, but then my brain argues I'm putting too much emphasis on Rios' 0, and Acosta has been eating alot of fighters 0's lately. Both fighters are on good streaks agains overall solid competition. I honestly dunno who I'm picking yet, I figure I need to do more homework on Acosta (if anyone has any good footage please post it or a link to it) and decide soon, in the meantime I'll see others thoughts and try to gather my own.
Acosta is pure evil: insane stamina, wicked power in both hands, granite chin, great mentality and solid skills.
Acosta TKO...Rios is tough and strong but easy to hit and Acosta has speed and power with good chin...I think Acosta WILL handle Rios's power but not the opposite....
lol, im with you. Admittedly, i dont know anything about Acosta. I voted KO for Rios. He's proven to be a real TOUGH guy to take down, he's a good pressure fighter and has some good timing. Definitely need to look up Acosta
At first I thought Acosta was going to be too much for him, but I really think Rios is better than just a straight forward brawler. He's not going to be running in head first like Antillon was. I don't know, I just know this is going to be a great fight! I picked Rios by TKO though.
I voted for miguel acosta he's a tough fighter, but he'll have the fans against him. Brandon rios is the sexier pick and he'll have the fans trying to influence the judges. Plus rios is more well known by the regular fans in the US. Hopefully we'll have a great and fair fight and acosta doesnt get rob. But if he KOs the way i think he will the there's nothing to worry. Thanks for sharing. Yea Acosta's uppercuts are nice, I love that he's not afraid to throw them in almost every flurry he lets go. Yea I agree, I feel if the decision is close, Acosta may not get the nod. But then again, Acosta has come to the US and won a close decision too.
I have to see some more footage of Acosta but he does seem to have the styles advantage here. However Rios chin has shown to be reliable and not to mention he is the bigger name. Acosta would have to pull a clear wipeout to get the decision in my opinion. Anythng like 7-5 8-4 could go to Rios. I mean who other than *******s wants Acosta to win? Everyone who doesnt hate Rios because of his comments wants him to win since he is far more marketable. Im leaning on a 50-50 fight right now from the limited footage i have seen on Acosta. His style is good against a fighter like Rios and also i have not been so impressed by Rios like everyone else was after he beat Peterson. That will actually be what i will be doing at work today. Studying Acosta. I will make a prediction later today.
