who do you guys think wins?

paul williams is getting overrated here, cotto will break his long skinny body down with body shots, williams' pitter patter arm punches will be blocked by cotto's high guard, heck even margarito blocked quiet alot of williams' shots, and everytime margarito went to the body he was backing williams off, and margarito isn't even a good body puncher, williams is weight drained and dehydrated, he will be fragile, cotto will probably disclocate his shoulder like he did branco's.

    cotto late tko.

Cotto KO via body shot. Williams is built like a stick insect, Cotto would break him in two.

I think Paul's high punch output, combined with his reach and heights gives problem to anyone, including Cotto, but to me Cotto is just the better fighter and should be effective to the body and to the head in a very sneaky way. Cotto UD, in a very competetive and fun to watch fight.

Man, i knew i forgot something, the Punisher's stance, he is a southpaw, and that always makes it harder. But lets wait until Williams gets by his next oponent in Carlos Quintana and then if Cotto doesnt have a fight schedualed we could really talk about it with more sense and surely a lot more opinions.

cotto is a natural southpaw who fights in both stances.

    Cotto has no chance!

No one beats Williams at Welterweight for as long as he can make the weight!

Not very regularly. I doubt he would employ it much in a fight with Williams.

Williams took a load of body and head shots from Margarito, but Paul didn't yield. The real myth here is that Williams can't take it. If that were true, Margarito would still have that cheap plastic belt. Believe it, no one wants to give Williams a chance. Cintron pretended to, but the fight was cancelled. Mayweather avoids mentioning Williams' name for fear that doing so would invoke Paul to appear like the devil. Margarito isn't even pushing for a rematch for his old title. Mention Paul to Cotto, and Miguel just gets a glazed look, and changes the subject. You can sometimes tell how good someone is by the guys who'd rather not fight him.

Williams had a fairly easy time with Margarito (at least until the later rounds), who is not a soft puncher by any means. I'd put my money on Williams to fight a similar fight: keep Cotto at a distance, stick, move, dance, and win a SD.

Williams has underrated toughness and his lenght and workrate will fustrate the hell out of Cotto not allowing him to get into his grove. Williams by UD

he fights better as a southpaw than he does orthodox,

in the quintana fight he destroyed quintana when he turned southpaw, there was this one combination he done as a southpaw which was left uppercut, straight left, switch stance and then left hook all which landed.

in the judah fight when he turned southpaw he landed 3 straight lefts in a row and then a left uppercut and had zab in trouble.

in the mosley fight he didn't go southpaw very often but the few times he did he landed some huge shots, one shot which i remember, cotto turned southpaw for the first time in the fight, he landed a big straight left which rocked shane's head back, mosley nodded at cotto indicating it was a good shot, and another time in the 7th he landed a straight left on mosley, mosley took like 3 steps back, every time he turned southpaw in this fight he landed big.

no he didn't it was a close fight, and williams didn't really keep margo at a distance, margo was still able to land his big looping uppercuts and hooks.

I personally think that Cotto's ability to work his opponent out and demolish him will get him the W in this one, and I also believe that PW is also overrated, a bit like Pavlik is
