I really thought Williams dominated the first 2/3 of that fight. Margo was simply outclassed (and I'm not biased for or against either fighter). I just thought Williams clearly won, and I think a similar result would come with a Cotto fight. That long, long jab would be shot in Cotto's face all night.

the only reason it looked like williams clearly won was because of his higher punch output, he was hitting margos gloves when margo was blocking.

Yeah, but Margo wasn't hitting Anything. He was completely frustrated. Does anybody really think that Margo won that fight? You'd have to be pretty biased to believe that.

It sounded as if that's what was being implied. Either way, I think the same things that frustrated Margo will frustrate Cotto- if they ever meet.

I like Cotto but not in this fight. He would have some major problems with the movement, pressure & of course his reach and height. Cotto will have some problems trying to get to Williams body....NOT bc williams fights tall, but b/c Williams uses his angles and lateral movment well. It's not a great idea to stay on the inside with a guy like Cotto but Williams has more tools that are both natrual and taught componets to his fight game. Marg is a very good body puncher in his own right. He is known for going to the body so I don't know what you are talking about. Cotto is a great body puncher but I don't even think he'd be Margarito...that fight would be a lot closer in terms of competition than a Williams Cotto fight.

    Williams by KO 9

At least Margo at 5'11" was in the ballpark heightwise. Cotto's 5'7". Williams will snap that jab in his face all night.

 C'mon now...the reason why it "LOOKED" like Williams cleary won was b/c he CLEARLY WON! lol I mean he landed more, controled the fight and did more damage.

Now Marg made a vialiant effort to stage some good comback rounds, but he couldn't maintain control and had no answers for the punch output and ring generalship of Williams.

A similar fate would be at the hands of Cotto should he step up to face williams which he shouldn't...at least avoid him for a while so he can hold his titles.

that is an advantage to cotto more than it is to williams, cotto will go inside and man handle williams.
