I think williams makes a tough night for anyone at 147, but I like Cotto in this one in spite of the size difference.

Cmon man I understand your a fan but seriously.

Cotto will pose no problems for Williams.

Williams took bombs on the chin by Margarito and grinned.

    No way Cotto beats him.

How is a 5-7 guy a matchup problem for a middleweight who is 6-2 with an 82 inch reach..who fights southpaw and throws 130 punches...who never gets tired and has a rock solid chin???????

What?? He wasn't countering shane at the end.. he was on his bike trying to secure his early lead. To me...that figth between Shand and Cotto could have gone the other way for Shane but it was a close fight and I can't really make any arguements, but I did have the fight for Shane by only a round. But to say Cotto was countering Shane at the end of the fight opposed to seeing Cotto on his bike is complete garbage. Not that I found it wrong by what Cotto was doing but I call a spade a spade and his ass was damn near doing a DLH move like it was the Tito vs DLH fight all over again.

Man shut up and watch the damn fight again, if you think Cotto was ANY closer in doing what DLH did you really are dumb. :patsch

I've seen the fight 3 times sweet heart. Get the wedgey out of your vagina fool. I'm not saying the last 3 rounds Cotto was on his bike, just the last 2 rounds :D ! My point is DLH is a boxer, he moves, a bit slick...so is Shane....BUT COTTO!?? He's a brawler, pressure fighter that ALWAYS comes forward. He was on his mother****in tricycle towards the end when he faugth Shane. Which surprised me b/c that is not Cotto's style and it doesn't fit him well. he did it to SURVIVE and that's the truth.

Cottos would have to break him down to the body over the long haul.

If PW can stay at distance he could outpoint him.

At this point Id lean toward Cotto in a close one.

Obviously Cotto isn't going to be able to outwork a 6'2 soutpaw spider who throws 150 punches a round. That would take to much energy from a 5'7 tank like Cotto. But if you haven't seen much of Cotto maybe you should see him at 140lbs when about the majority of his fights he fought purely as the Counter Puncher and if he fought Williams he'd have to do the same thing And when he did hit williams He'd have to hit williams real hard, and When Margarito hit Williams to the body he didn't like it. And he won't like it when Cotto hits him to the body either.

    Hmmm

Intresting match up, Pauls a big boy with good hand speed but he dosent have the fastest hands Cotto's seen nor are they as accurate. I can see Cotto having trouble for the first half of the fight but merely based on Pauls size. Cotto is patient and methodical therefore his ability to get in on a busy fighter is only enhanced as the busy man would only notice he's be lured into an inside battle where Cotto's short accurate punches would find a large home. Great fight....hard to pick a winner. If Paul can keep Cotto on the outside he wins if he allows Cotto to enter the pocket Cotto breaks him down.
