    This fight is rarely being discussed, but I think that it can be a barn burner. It's a damn good fight! I think Vargas is gonna really bring the fight to Mikey, which feeds into Mikey's counterpunching style. And Mikey probably has a chip on his shoulder because of his lame ass performance in the Spence fight. 50/50 fight w/ the potential for being a Fight of the Year candidate!

    Hard to blame the lack of attention
    With the amazing outcome of this past weekend Heavy weight extravaganza!

    but this is definitely an underrated fight.
    With a lot of potential.

    but that’s all it is for now potential.
    Until Mikey proves he belongs at 147lbs
    This could be the fight for it as Vargas is NO Spence ... but he is a live dawg. SHOULD be good.

    60/40 Mikey. Mikey edges it but I wouldn't be the least bit surprised if Jessie outboxes him with his length and height advantage.

    Obviously Mikey is the more skilled fighter but Vargas is naturally bigger, 50/50 fight for me.

    These fights seem to be snowed under by the fading buzz of Fury spanking that US heavyweight with the cosplay costume, while Garcia vs Vargas and Gonzalez vs Yafai are pretty good fights.

    Pretty much exactly how the fight went.

    I think Mikey is vastly overrated. Good fighter, B- level at this point, any of the top WWs will beat him.

    That said, Mikey is a very basic fighter, when he has the reach and size, he can win quite easily. Size and reach will trouble him, as vargas did.
