Tua was a fighter I watched if his fight was on. In his big fight I recall him always plodding after the guy until he catches them in the later rnds. It's been so long but other than the Lewis fights these come to mind:

    Izon, Byrd, Oleg, Rahman

Tua does go down as the only guy to have the most exciting fight ever with Ruiz. :)

Torn on one hand Garcia really stepped up and went for him as the fight went but couldnt connect the KO shot and Burgos continued to throw his punches with snap and moved a lot and kept out of range

The bad is Garcia has a lot of KO's and I suspect most were against soft comp or were one shots because he is not a good finisher, he would hurt Burgos on a right hand and not follow up, usually when he had Burgos the most hurt he clinched Burgos rather than punch

Dropped Salido a lot couldnt finish him...no matter that BS story Lampley tried to use he wasnt close to knocking him out when the fight was stopped as Salido was staying on his two feet more and getting more into the fight

Garcia has the potential might have just been the wrong night had a tall rangy guy with a good chin and defense. I like his precise and very pressure based style but he shouldnt go up a whole bunch of weights yet he just is not there yet

Trampler did a bad job with this match up. Was Burgos a mandatory?

If not, what a dumb fight to make for a guy they're trying to hype into ppv stardom. If they give him Miguel Vasquez for a lightweight strap, it'll be much worse than tonight.

It depends on what you define as boring. Mikey is technically very sound on both ends, and he systematically breaks opponents down, typically resulting in a knockout with his power, but he takes few risks in doing so, and you get the feeling watching him fight that if he just stepped on the gas that little bit more he'd look much more impressive in his wins. Even though Burgos is no mug in there and was mostly in survival mode as you indicated, there were times when Garcia could have let his hands go more, especially later in the fight when Burgos was really not punching much, and he would have probably gotten the stoppage if he was willing to take that minimal risk to put the punches together. He still won dominantly, but he didn't exactly enhance his profile with the performance.

This fight scored itself. I scored the fight easily for Garcia, 10-2 rounds, 118-110 points, giving Burgos the first 2 rounds. Really only the 1st round was tough to score, I gave it to Burgos for being busier, though Garcia landed the sharper punches. Garcia won the 3rd by buzzing Burgos with a hard right early, the 4th with a sharp straight right late, and the 5th and 6th rounds by outboxing from distance. The fight turned in the 7th and 8th rounds, when Garcia finally started to press forward and really put Burgos on the defensive. In the 9th Burgos had one last flurry of activity early on, but Garcia rallied with body shots early and a few right hands late. Garcia finally had Burgos looking ragged in the 11th. The final round was perfunctory. Even though the crowd booed late on, I thought Garcia looked very good. He started by comfortably sizing up Burgos from distance, banked some rounds, then halfway through started moving forward pressing the offensive. But Burgos' ring movement, defense, and jab was too good throughout the entire fight to be overwhelmed by Garcia, and Burgos fairly comfortably made the final bell. Very solid win for Garcia, but I do worry that his people are looking to push him much faster than they should, especially as this was only his second ever fight at 130. No shame for Burgos in his performance tonight, I know it was his third world title shot and Kellerman and Ward were saying he should have risked more offensively, but he just didn't have the firepower to do so.
