Monaghan jabs and leans in with his palms spread across his face, catching punches on the backs of his gloves as Vanda flurries straight into him. Vanda throws lead right hands and left hooks into Monaghan's arms. Vanda sustains an injury to his left arm, gruesomely blown up and warped upon impact. He is unable to continue. :!:

That really sucks. Monaghan and Vanda have the styles to put on a real show.

You can tell Seanie hates to get the W this way, more concerned with pleasing his loyal regional fan base than with rankings or records.

 

The next live bout won't be for more than half an hour.

Vargas puts in the long right jab, keeping his chin hidden behind the left glove as peers down at Lopez. The tall southpaw begins to press Lopez into the ropes with big right hooks to the temple and above the waistband and powerful straight lefts. Lopez bounces around twisting and jabbing nervously and is driven into the ropes and works his way off them but into a big left cross laying Lopez down on his back and out, cold.
