Juanma used to have incredible hand speed and his right hook was lighting quick. For some reason the speed started to slowly go away and he started pushing forward w his punches instead of letting them fly(Like Garcia does) without moving his entire body into the punch. Juanma is done.

Lopez is a good fighter but one level below elite IMO.

Salido obviously damaged Lopez but I was still impressed with Garcia's performance.

No other fighter around that weight class destroys Juanma the way Garcia did tonight!

    :deal

The only one I'd give a chance to is Donaire (because of his power).

Rigondeaux would box his ears off but don't think he'd get him out of there in 4.

Agreed. That will get lost in the victory, and Garcia will never get due credit perhaps on this one. But that said, Lopez has deteriorated on several fronts; it just wouldn't have been so obvious against any other opponent.

im not sure why lopez even fought garcia when garcia just toyed salido.. some will say styles makes fights but i dont think it's the case here. juanma shoud've move up to 130 if he had plans of prolonging his career.

I sort of agree with you about JML moving up, but only because 130 is a wasteland, nowhere near the depth of talent at 126, so maybe JML could hide there for another year or so. But really the issue isn't JML's opposition, it's JML himself. Whether he brawls, or boxes as he tried tonight, his footwork is horrible and his defense is nonexistent. Even when trying to box tonight, Garcia was consistently picking him apart from distance, connecting with everything he threw. JML is what he is, a no-defense brawler with poor technique who probably needs to retire right now, and find another line of work.

I just watched the fight. Nice final KD. That 4th round was cringe worthy with what Juanma was doing. Extremely predictable outcome.

Was hoping for more out of Juanma. Garcia continues to impress and do better than I expect of him.

get ready for more of these types of matchups due to this promotional war bulls--t. So instead of perhaps Mares vs. Garcia, we will get to see whoever their promoters want to match them up with within their own stable. In most cases, the opponents are undeserving That's why world champions today mean nothing and why mainstream fans could give two sh*ts about the sport. Sad but true.

lol He wished he was as good as Jermain Taylor, and I know Taylor was a B level at best.
