Rogelio "Porky" Medina vs. Luis "Animal" Serrano, 12 rounds @ super middleweight for the vacant WBC Silver title

Round 1

Medina comes forward chopping with jabs. Serrano puts him DOWN with a quick right hand! Medina is up, smirking at the ref, playing as though it didn't hurt. Medina comes forward throwing hard body shots and trading hooks with Serrano, who claps his fists together and says to come on. Medina is backing Serrano up for most of the final minute and a half of the round.

Round 2

Big left hook by Medina, caught on the glove. Serrano moves to his left and jabs. Big left hook by Serrano, doubled up, and Medina is down again!! He is a bit less cocky as he presents his gloves to the ref this time. Medina is all business, hooking the body of Serrano. Wild left hook by Serrano coming up off his toes to keep his back off the ropes. Medina tags him with a few hard right hands. Now Serrano seems hurt!! Medina lands a rocket of a right hand just as Serrano rallies back to score a left hook. They push together in the middle of the ring and Serrano lands a few hooks to the head. Left uppercut to the body by Serrano. Several digs to the body by Medina. Down goes Medina again! Just a glove touch, and ruled a slip, but there was a punch there. Serrano is hooking like mad. Medina walks forward, into the firepit, throwing hard right hands. They slug it out toe to toe until the bell.

Round 3

Medina throws some hooks to the body, and jabs to the face. Serrano covers up and twists with the punches as Medina puts them together in multiples. Serrano hasn't thrown anything through a minute. Medina steadies his jab and begins to chip at the body with reaching hooks. Double jab by Medina, pumping the air. Serrano is caught lounging in a corner with a 1-2. Nice jabs up top and hooks to the body by Medina, not letting Serrano get off. Serrano seems unable to fight moving backwards. Constant jabs and hooks by Medina, a bit messy but getting the job done. Serrano attempts to hook with him but misses badly. Medina thumps the body coming forward, pressing up close against Serrano. Hooks to the face by Medina, in control until a late surge by Serrano, blasting Medina thrice before the bell!

29-26 Serrano

 

Round 4

Medina is blazing ahead with his jab and uppercut, driving Serrano back. Big hooks by Serrano, thrown with reckless abandon. They rattle off Medina's skull but don't slow him down. He flaps his arms to the crowd in a bit of showmanship, then continues to slap away at Serrano's body and work the uppercut on the inside. Serrano is loading up, trying to slow him down with full power shots but unable to set up an adequate roadblock. Medina drops his hands and lets Serrano leave a trail of hooks from hip to jaw, laughing as he absorbs the shots.

38-36 Serrano

 

Round 5

Medina is pushing Serrano back with straight shots, and then clubbing the body. Serrano tries to rip his face off with a hook backing up, but is visibly tiring and putting less and less on each punch. Medina is warned for a low blow during a flurry downstairs. Medina has a high guard and flaps his elbows like a chicken, playing up to the crowd as he harries Serrano to the ropes. Right hand by Medina.

10-9 Medina

47-46 Serrano

 

Serrano has quit on his stool!! Medina wins after suffering knockdowns in the first two rounds, RTD5!!
