I think it would be a great fight at 140, and I think they're pretty much on even terms. Who would win this hypothetical matchup?
I like this matchup a lot! I was a pretty big fan of Gonzalez back in the day. I think the size of Diaz causes sone problems for MAG but at the end of the day, I'm picking MAG in a close battle with his superior counter punching and chin being the deciding factor. MAG was tough as hell. He took some insane punishment from Tszyu before Abel Sanchez stopped that fight and he have Oscar a hell of fight as well.
This is such a good matchup between two really underated fighters. Crazy that a thread like this gets so little attention on this forum compared to a thread about Tony Galento.
It's a damn good fight, Diaz and Gonzalez were very underrated it would have been a hell of a fight, and a real fight that could have happened at some point.
