Is a very smart fight especially after coming back from back to back tough rough fights, Berchelt doesn't want to end up like Vargas did.
I've always felt Mijares has been slightly underappreciated, the guy has skills and can box. He's actually coming off a good string of wins after the LSC fight. I'd love him to somehow pull off the upset but he has no chance against Berchelt.
I'm not sure why you're demanding a prediction of me? Saying that Mijares doling out a boxing lesson is less far-fetched than most believe isn't the same as confidently asserting that he WILL, nor does it necessitate committing to an outcome.
It's not often I disagree with your posts. Mijares is a good boxer. Nothing special though. At all. He has aged well and uses that experience to the best he can but reading this makes it seem like he's a Hopkins reincarnate. Yes, he should have gotten the nod against Terrazas and Cermeno. Logically, I can not see him outboxing the brawler. Berchelt's wild winging body shots and going to lower Mijares counters or leads. I see it as another Darchinyan fight. Berchelt's odd, sometimes wild style and underrated veteran of distance (and when to punch) will be too much for the older, smaller, Mijares
Mijares is one of the few boxers in defense of whom I get irrationally emotional...along with Mikkel Kessler and...well, that's it.
HBO continues the tradition of "Fights Nobody Asked For". Matthysse vs Kiram? Wtf? Kovalev vs Mikhalin? And when everyone wanted Vargas-Salido II/Vargas-Miura II, we got Vargas-Berchelt instead.
