I think at a certain level you can only really share a tier and that’s where Canto was IMO he didn’t have clear superiors just fighters at the same level - who? The following IMO Pep, Conn, Napoles, Armstrong, Duran, Ross, Charles, Moore, JCC snr and Tunney.
Guys without film could be included via “right of conquest” lol - I’ll be missing guys too but these seem clear enough to me IMO on film and paper.
Some of these I’m less sure on than others.

I'll never forget his six hook combination on Takada, or how his footwork on isolated camera was exactly the same in round 15 as it was in round one, consistently. Crazy conditioning.

I find Yuri Arbachakov and Mark Johnson up there with him but these guys have such a little resume that I won´t argue for a second with anyone that they are better than Canto...

I agreed with this thread, conventional boxers like Lopez and Roman,I think also struggled with immense pressure and awkward movements.
Good luck for Canto actually escaping Harada and Chang's pressure, they could take a s many hits until the ref stops em.

Yeah he’s definitely up there, I don’t know the names of his resume, I’m not that sort of guy but when I watch him I see great boxing - I responded once to this thread long ago but more time watching him and a better education since then has made me only more certain.

Again, it's also true, both were so skilled but still lacked very much competition.
