Miguel Canto the most forgotten Mexican Champion

It does reflect his style, but he also seemed to be treating minus with contempt and was just coasting for most of the bout due to Minus extremely safety first running.It's an awful fight and not really an ideal starting point.

 

Canto has one of if not THE best resume in the Flyweight division. He fought everyone and fought them multiple times over. He got the better of nearly every fighter he fought, even though sometimes he needed a series of fights to distinguish himself. Continued winning when way past his prime.

His best performance on film imo is the second Betulio Gonzalez fight. Schooled a very good fighter. Performed well in the third fight too, which is up on the tube, but the second time round he looked a complete master, and made easy work of an opponent who nearly everyone struggled with.

 

Id probably have Canto in my top10 alltime defensive fighters Ive seen on film.

Probably Lora too...but that Minus fight was terrible. I dont know what the **** Ray was doing..How he actually thought he was in any position to start taunting and clowning Miguel is beyond me.
