Just beginning my education on Canto, and find him kind of intriguing. A masterful, intrinsic boxer without a lot of pop in his shots, versus the effervescent, irrepressible Harada, the Swarmer's Swarmer. Who do you like in this one, and how do you see it playing out?

I cannot see Canto beating the Harada of the first Kingpetch fight.

Awful, awful style match up for Canto - bigger, stronger, extreme aggression and a great, great jab. Harada would break the rhythmic sets Canto so relied on and controlled. It would be like the Chan Hee Park fight x10.

My stylistic analysis of Canto, and why Harada is an awful match up for him @salsanchezfan:

Nice. I agree, and ppicked Harada by decision. There's just not enough firepower there to keep Harada off him, and Harada isn't just an unscientific mauler; he's quick and springy and tireless.

I see someone voted Canto; wish they'd comment so we can get a different viewpoint.

I completely understand why FH is the pick here but I'm going for Canto. Here's why.

FH was already a special fighter but he had a bit to learn I'd say and Canto, at the poundage, is as complete and seasoned a fighter as can be imagined basically. It's absolutely true that FH was stronger and busier but it's also true that Canto had the most cultured left hook perhaps in the history of the sport and also that he was one tough little SOB. Here's what I see:

Canto taxing FH often enough, heavily enough, on the march, to win 8 out of 15 rounds. If that seems simplistic consider the excellence of FH's jab and how heavily he relied upon it and the fact that he would probably be out-though on that front here. A technical advantage is just as important as a stylistic advantage. Finally, I think Canto can weave the cleaner punches on the inside at that time. Remeber that he has none of Pone's vulnerabilities in terms of constitution or chin.

I don't think Canto would enjoy himself, particularly, but I can't see him winning fewer rounds than FH at this weight.
