As much as I like Martinez and how bad the governing bodies treated him a ring return is a bad idea!

If he comes back, he should go for Cotto & Margarito. He gets the money he needs & if he can revenge one of them it will look better on his record. A revenge late career fight, is always a good idea for comeback, little to lose legacy wise, familiar foe & easy $, having triangle Tournament between those three champions will be interesting.

Stylistically, Cotto has always been my favourite fighter and to watch. His left hook was a thing of beauty.

I also had the Canelo fight much closer than it was on the scorecards. Both guys ate some leather that night Cotto got through that guard so many times.

Your video is nicely done, I look forward to seeing more of them. I was struck by the ages of the fighters of his best wins. Judah was the youngest at 29 and I never rated him that highly. Mosely was 36 and Martinez 39, and Margarito well... I never was that enamored with Cotto, I thought he was a good solid fighter who captured belts in the multi title era.

Agreed. His win over Margo gets pretty overrated, imo... especially when people seem to ignore that Margo was starting to get to Cotto with plenty of rounds left, before the ref called it off.

    But... just imo.

Never liked Kneeguel. Too much of a diva for my taste also came across as a guy who took himself way too serious.

Honestly the Margarito rematch is a more creditable victory in my opinion than is Maravilla, which I wouldn't put in a top 5 in Cotto's pro career. I love Sergio, and beating a version of him with legs is something to crow about (even a pre-prime version, as Margarito himself defeated, ironically..) but that version? With that set of stems? Nah.
