If you honestly thought Cotto has ever gone into a fight knowing or even thinking he was going to lose then you seriously need to logout. Like. Now. I get it. You're a Paul Williams fan. You like him a lot. No problem. But don't let all logic go out of the ****in' window just because he's no longer relevant.

And that A > B > C logic is silly as **** and you know it.

When Paul first beat Margarito, Arum clear as day said he didn't want to risk both his belts on the same guy, when asked about Paul vs. Cotto. Right there in the goddamn Home Depot Center. I was there.

And for the record, I don't think Cotto is personally scared of Paul, but his "company" bltantly ducked him. But because that nut-punching motha****a is so beloved, no one wants to talk about that ****.

    :patsch Are you ****ing stupid?

The Martinez fight was in 2010!!!!!

We're talking about in 2007 when Paul first beat Margo. And in June 2008 when he beat Quintana. And then right after Margo beat Cotto and before he fought Shane...

THAT is when he was ducked. And it was after these events (and others) that he decided to move up.

:huh Wouldn't it more appropriate to say, "Cotto's promoter wanted no part of Paul Williams"?

uh not really Williams beat Margo and then split with Quintana and moved up

I'm uncomfortable with the way you have been wording half of your posts. You seem to be insinuating that Williams was forced into a division he had no business fighting in, and that is why his career has took a turn for the worst. He was probably better suited at 154lbs and 160lbs with his frame, he was just unfortunate to run into a better fighter than himself in Sergio Martinez. Paul Williams isn't a victim of anything. The best fought the best and he came out on the losing end.

    No.

Mw is saying Tony cherrypicked a green Williams then ducked him when he became prime (whenever that is). It sounds stupid but who am I to refute. They are the sole holder of boxing knowledge.

I'm not convinced PTP is shot. I'm eager to see him in with a non slick south paw; a style that has troubled him even in his so called prime.
