Word, I didn't know that. When I first saw it, I figured it'd be some more of that $55.00 ****.

I'm not sure on the price, but that's the price Prescott just posted.

Probably right though, Arum's been up to that **** a lot lately ( like JC Chavez Jr,) putting almost any thing on PPV, but a lower price than the big fights cost.

Margarito / Mosley is a more PPV worthy fight than both combined and it is a non PPV HBO event. They need to wake up and smell the coffee. In addition to those not being PPV worthy, the economy is crap as it is, so people aren't looking to spend money unless they have to or know they will get 200% their money's worth. Both bouts will probably give 10% return. Besides this, it could have a long term effect and set the bar low for the other ppv events come 2009.

You think you`ve got it bad in the States, having PPV`s for Cotto fights.
Here in Britain we have PPV`S for Amir 'Gone in 60 seconds' Khan fights.

What has Khan done to be a Boxoffice fighter???? Disgraceful.

    Cotto: PPV yes
    Pavlik: PPV ????
    Khan: PPV f**k No!!

I agree completely - add to the fact that not only they came off losses, but destructive type losses. Pavlik being completely schooled and embarrassed by a 43yr old guy, and Cotto stopped in devastating fashion submitting to his opponent. So here comes a gimme tune-up for each to recover.... how does this become PPV worthy if they aren't even trying to avenge their losses?

Nobody is forcing anyone to pay the money, seems people are just crying because they won't fork out, but don't want to miss anything. Either pay, or wait for the repeat, you get to watch it for free eventually, so stop crying.

    I missed that.

I didn't see anyone crying about missing out.

It's the promoters who will miss out on our PPV dollars.

Agreed but the title of this thread is misleading. They are PPV stars for sure.
