Rumors has it that miguel cotto is not speaking to his trainer angelista cotto. speculations as to the cause points to the traditional grease rubdown that trainers perform on their fighters. Miguel Cotto was said to demand that the rubdown be performed on him everyday before training starts. his uncle and coach however insists to do it only before the margarito bout itself. cotto was said to be unhappy about the refusal.

i believe there has been a thread made regarding this practice among boxing coaches and fighters. the rubdown is a ritual that is said to calm a fighter's senses and gives him incredible, trance-like focus. and yes, the rubdown includes rubbing the fighters genitalia. one famous fighter was said to fire a coach for refusing to touch his sex organs.
