Miguel Cotto will have a rematch with Antonio Margarito in the main event of tommarow nights HBO PPV card. In the co-Main Event the powerful Brandon Rios will face talented John Murray from the UK. Miguel Cotto will hope to avenge his July 08' loss to the throwback mexican brawler Antonio Margarito. As you know, There was much controversy behind Margarito's win since in his next fight with Sugar Shane Mosley it was discovered that he had illegal handwraps with elements used to make plaster of paris inside. He went on to loose a stoppage to Mosley in RD 9. Very bad fight for Margarito, So the fact that Margarito planned to use the Plaster filled wraps against Mosley, Didn't, and looked way worse then verses Mosley ( who Cotto widely bet when Mosley was closer to prime ) then he did verses Cotto. So many people believe he used the same wraps verses Cotto. Margarito wants to prove that when he brawled n' mauled Cotto, Those were his fists with all that power! And Cotto wants to prove that Margarito is a fraud, And that the fairly powerful and talented boxer Cotto is the better fighter. This will be good.

Miguel Cotto ( 36-2-0 ):

Basics: Cotto, A powerful boxer, Has proved to mostly dominate his opponents from Light welterweight up to Light Middleweight. At light welterweight he bet the fast but featherfisted Paulie Malignaggi, who put up a great fight, Actually Cotto broke his jaw and KD'd him in two but oddly he made it the whole 12, also Demarcus Corley ( When he wasn't a human punching bag ), Ricardo Torres and fellow hard hitter Randall Bailey lost by Stoppage. At welterweight he Stopped fellow Puerto Rican Carlos Quintana, Zab Judah, and decisions to Joshua Clottey in a very tough fight and Sugar Shane Mosley. He also had his stoppage loss to Margarito and Pacquiao there. At Light Middleweight he stopped Yuri Foreman and Ricardo Mayorga. He will face Antonio Margarito at an odd 153 Lb Catchweight ( 1lb from the LMW limit. :? ) Miguel Cotto is a good boxer, He is also powerful. Great KOs of Judah, Quintana, ect. He really wants to avenge his 1 big loss other then Pacquiao.

Basics: A classic Mexican Brawler, Despite the anger of the usage of illegal wraps this guy is fan friendly, Exciting to watch, Much heart, Look at the beating he took from Pacquiao. Good stoppages of Miguel Cotto, Antonio Diaz, Sebastian Lujan Kermit Cintron ect. A good decision to Joshua Clottey. As I said before about the hand wraps before, That is why he will rematch Cotto, It was discovered he planned to use illegal handwraps against Sugar Shane Mosley, It added the wide possibility that he could have used the wraps verses Cotto, Since he got KTFO by someone who Cotto dominated ( Mosley KO'd Margarito in 9, Cotto widely UD'd Mosley ). He wants to prove that those bricks that hit Cottos chin were his gloves, And not Plaster of paris.

Power: 7.5 out of 10. It is good, But the exact level depends on what hit Cotto....

The powerful Brandon " Bam Bam " Rios will face off with good UK Boxer John Murray. Rios, Was recently stripped of his WBA title, Since he failed to make weight against Murray ( He is a big Lightweight. ), If Murray wins he gets the title, He looses, It is Vacant. Plus Rios lost a nice chunk of his fight purse to Murray. Rios is a huge favorite to win this.:

Brandon Rios ( 28-0-1 ):

Basics: Rios, An exciting Mexican brawler is coming off a good 3rd round beat down of Urbano Antillion, And right before that a Stoppage win of Miguel Acosta, That was close early, But Rios's power later got to Acosta, Scoring multiple KD's until the 10th round stoppage. Other then that he has a DQ win to Anthony Peterson, Brother of Lamont Peterson, Where Anthony landed multiple low blows and then got DQ'd in 7, Rios was ahead on the cards. He has an easy stoppage to Jorge Teron too. Rios is trained by talented trainer Robert Garcia, Trainer of Antonio Margarito and top prospect Omar Henry too. Rios is powerful, And Murray is expected to be another KO name on his list, I agree but Murray isn't a bum.

Power: 8 out of 10. Good KO's to Acosta and Antillion.

Basics: Good wins to british level guys like Gary Buckland, also a very entertaining bout with Kevin Mitchell, Which is British fight of the year, In that bout he got his only loss, Murray lost a TKO in RD 8. Murray is a game opponent for Rios, He will come to fight, I think this is a decent challenge for Rios but odds are Murray gets stopped.

Power: 6 3/4 out of 10. Good Buckland and Kudvatsev stoppages, That is most of his major stoppage wins.

Resume: Loss to Mitchell. Wins to Gary Buckland and Kudvatsev.

Ranking: Good contender. Top 12 or so.
