Just in a short summary, he is ask a few questions about his potential fight with Manny and even one of the host tells him he doesnt feel like Miguel is ready for this fight. Miguel responds by saying DLH was weight drain, which cost DLH the fight and also he states that Hatton has been a hype fighter. Also saying Hatton has struggle with his big fights. Cotto says he has all the boxing skills to beat Manny, but he would not go any lower than 145, to give Manny any more uneccessary advantages and sacrifice himself health and physically wise. He was then ask if this fight doesnt happen what other names are out there. He responded by saying many big names including Mosley in a rematch.
Cotto is all business no even laughing with his friends he said he will never go under 145 the fight with Pac is dead. We the fans don't want another corpse this catch weight bs must end.
It must be a real popular radio station, esp. when one of the radio host is basically telling Cotto in his face, he feels he is not ready for Manny... What an idiot, i'll be serious too...
Jesus it's only 2 pounds. People on this board have completely lost all perspective. All jumping on the bandwagon of the 'weight drain' club. Cotto can easily lose a couple of pounds. He used to fight at 140 and he'll be 3 pounds above this. He just needs as many advantages as possible as he knows he will lose to Pac.
Cotto is not ready for Manny below 145, that's it.. That's why the negotiations are taking too long..
