    :good

Oh, gotcha. I thought you meant Hopkins was the only own to hold all four at the same time, ever, regardless of being stripped, etc...!!!

Now I understand what you're saying, and I 100% agree...!!!

Yeah, but what if GG hears that Cotto's boyfriend can punch? Do you still think that GG still fights him?

The WBC belt and the lineal title aren't the same thing. He's still lineal MW champ without the WBC belt.

I'd be surprised if more than 10% of viewers in boxing PPVs have any idea what title is being fought for. At a certain point it becomes about name - nobody is buying Cotto v Canelo for the WBC.

Same way nobody buys Pac or Mayweather fights for the organisations either. Foolish to suggest otherwise.

Is it an achievement to win one? Sure. Should it cost any fighter holding a belt $1.1m to choose a fight more fans want to see fight next time around? No.

Just as long as he explodes into the arena as a 100-1 favorite, the fight will be on.

You can get those belts on ebay for around $60. Plus he said he got enough belts laying around the house. He was smart to save $300k. Hell you can buy a house with that money. Let me know what bank takes a WBC belt as payment for a house.

Apparently, Cotto is still legally obligated to pay GGG, thought he talks as if he won't..... things could get interesting...

Nothing really unique going on here. If Cotto truly is legally obligated to pay the money, then it will eventually be settled one way or another, be it inside or outside the courtroom. If he's not, then he ultimately won't have to pay, again, whether or not the courtrooms are involved.

    Boxing politics as usual.

And what has the WBC done to deserve 300K?
