One of the best points brought up. Did it to Kelly and personally I think Cotto's face/skin has been ****ed since Margo.

you don't think Cintron was hurt? That's why he wobbled backwards across the ring and went down? :huh

Martinez seems to have a lot of power, but rarely uses it, given his style. IMO.

Cintron wasn't seriously hurt. He was definitely shooken up, but I honestly think he was CONVINCED that it was a headbutt and just took a nice break on the floor. I mean the whole time his eyes are open, he's on one knee, he's talking to the ref...he wasn't devasted by Martinez's punch. He was just a ****in' moron for taking his sweet ass time thinking he would catch a break for the headbutt when the ref is clearly counting in front of his face. He even had enough gumption to get up quick enough to start bitching about the "headbutt".

You wanna see a guy devastated from a shot while trying to get up...watch the Green/Johnson fight...the guy is trying to explain that he got hit behind the head, but his speech is slurred and he can hardly stand...this doesn't nearly look to be the same picture with Cintron.

That is one of the bad habits Steward mentioned has been corrected as well as some other ones. Especially his stamina issues and propensity for eating uppercuts!!!
Steward is a differenciater for Cotto.

you need to watch that cintron fight again cause i believe in the 7th round he knocked him out and cintron claimed it was a headbutt

Cotto is known for bleeding. Remember the cuts Martinez opened up on Cintron,Williams, and Pavlik?

Martinez is just a bad stylistic matchup for Cotto. I See Sergio's counter right hook terrorizing Miguel early in the fight while Miguel is attempting to establish his jab. The straight left though will probably finish the job sometime later in the fight.

Credit to Miguel though for be receptive to the match up.

Well said. I would say that Sergio has good but scarcely great punching power. Moreover, Cotto has a solid beard.

With respect to the prospective bout, I'd take Sergio by UD.

Cotto's chin shouldn't be the question, it's his face. He cuts as if he's made of tissue paper and it's not like he's a defensive wizard.

I agree that Cotto;s will him the fight. Why the right hook? I think Martinez throws an excellent right hook, but why do you think he'll throw it as a counter to Cotto's jab. I didn't see him throw it that much in the Cintron fight. Cotto like Cintron is a right handed fighter. Paul Williams is southpaw.

Cotto's best punch is the jab, but he doesn't have the athleticism to be leading with hooks and straights. Miguel has to set everything up behind the jab. Cotto panicked after emmanuel took away his jab.

The southpaw hook can take away an orthodox fighter's jab.

I think what added to the Williams KO was the fact that Williams actually stepped into it.
