Miguel Cotto: "Clottey, We'll See Who Has More Heart"

    WBO welterweight champion Miguel Cotto says the title defense against Joshua Clottey will be a battle of heart. Over 13,000 tickets have been sold to their June 13 bout at New York's Madison Square Garden.

    "I am going to be prepared for whatever Clottey brings. I can't say anything about [what] Clottey is doing, I can only speak about myself and my preparation for the fight. I train hard and prepare myself and it doesn't matter who the opponent is and this is no exception," Cotto told El Nuevo Dia.

    "This is nothing more than a case of who has more heart, and also who has more ability and intelligence in the ring. After two or three rounds, we will see who has a bigger heart."

    Cotto, now training under Joe Santiago in Florida, has not spoken to his uncle/former trainer Evangelista Cotto since the two of them had their physical confrontation several weeks ago in Puerto Rico.

    "I have not spoken to Evangelista. Since that happened I have been away from Puerto Rico and I am here relaxing. I am trying to block myself from what is happening in Puerto Rico, and stay away from any distractions that could affect my camp. I don't want to talk about the situation," Cotto said.
