I believe clean body punching is as important and is scored as equally as clean head shots, but that being said, it didnt happen in the fight he thinks it did.

    HUH?

Body punches are EQUALLY important, klion. Scoring punches are scoring punches. Why would you even say that? There seems to be in implication in what you're saying that you don't honestly realize this.

    Just STFU you damn idiot.

Nope. But I can see where someone like you and someone like me might be getting different results. Unlike yourself I'm not the least bit confused about that. Describe your process of scoring.

Not at all Walk with me....

Cotto right now has 35 fights, already 4 more then vargas had in his whole career....

    while cotto was fighting

    15th pro fight - campas 72-2
    17th pro fight - marquez 30-1
    18th pro fight - WINKY WRIGHT 39-2
    19th pro fight - IKE QUARTEY 34-1
21st pro fight - FELIX TRINIDAD

and vargas was essentially done as an elite fighter a few fights after that after he lost to hoya.... meanwhile cotto didnt lose to margarito until what... his 30 something fight (32?) and is still an elite fighter.... cottos career was managed correctly, while vargas was more of a shooting star.... very bright, very fast, but also his time on top as an elite, p4p fighter was very very short

he fought Winky Wright, Ike Quartey, Ross the boss thompson, and Tito Trinidad all in a span of a year in his early early early twenties... and fought winky and ike without even having twenty fights to his career yet and was in the rings top 10 pvp in 1999 with barely having 20 fights.

Obviously we cant compare styles as they are very differant... Cant compare levels as fighters as i too believe they are on two differant levels prime for prime, and as far as hype, i really dont see the connection any more then any other hot prospects that get hype....

LOL... the only 'claim' vargas has is his win over ike?
His win over winky is questionable? so the **** what? its winky wright!

LOL!!! let me break it to you like this...

Having a close, questionable win over a young winky wright....at this point, is better then having just about the same kind of fight (meaning close, controversial) with joshua clottey!

also, there is a differance between having a back and forth, hall of fame worthy fight against margarito, in a losing effort..... and having the same with a prime Felix Trinidad.

Castillejo isnt worth bragging about? The same castillejo who one year later knocked out felix sturm? Me personally, i dont count that as a big win or anything, but its still a credible name given vargas was done as a fighter (you try fighting with a bulged L-5 disc in your back) and castillejo went on to be the only person so far to beat sturm (besides hoya )

shane mosley? he fought a vargas so far done to even bring those victories up is absurd.... in fact, the fact that vargas even hung in their first fight is a testament more towards vargas... the dude was so done at that point in his career its not even funny, i guess mayorgas win over vargas matters a lot too eh?

I garuntee you, if you put Cotto in vargas's shoes, he wouldnt have been as succesful as feroz was up until after hoya, even in his losing efforts against trinidad and hoya :good

then again, its all perception and opinion, but these are mine....

Cottos upside is hes not done as a fighter, and i hope can put pacs name on his ever growing resume.... when its all said and done, i think resume wise he will rank higher then vargas in terms of wins and losses... but he aint there yet imo, and as a fighter, a prime vargas was better imo.

If Cotto loses against Pacquiao even if it is in a thrilla, people will start to see the resemblances between the Aztec Warrior and the Warrior from Caguas...
