I guess Miguell Cotto has too much class for some people. I'm a fan.

To be honest I think Cotto is deluded if if thinks he is not liked, The guy is one of the best loved boxers in the sport today.

One of my favourite fighters, and i'm not even in the near vicinity of being latino - let alone Puerto Rican.

Everybody in PR loves his fights, some people just dont like his personality. He is underappreciated though and people will truly appreciate him once he retires and thats a shame.

Who really cares about an image anyway? It's just a face that people show to the public when they become big and famous. What does it really matter what a whole bunch of people who don't really know you as a person think about your personality?

Well he could at least try and be a FAKE person like Oscar De La Homo. You know, smile and repeat the same line every time. "I give him all the respect in the world...He's a great fighter, but I thought I won the fight...etc.."

Don't change Cotto. I, for one, will respect you for that.

In the ring I don't see how know one couldn't like him. How is he outside the ring, is he a real dick?

I have never heard anything negative about Cotto. I don't mind his introverted character. He has the respect of real boxing fans, whether he's their favourite fighter or not.

Cotto's never hit me as anything other than a straight shooter. And, he stays grounded, gives the fans a good show, and he'll fight absolutely anyone.

Even if people don't love him (I can see why people who prefer brash, trash talking fighters for entertainment might not), that's more than enough for people to like him and it's impossible not to respect him. Cotto's an example of what's right with the sport, and we could use more fighters like him.
