The Columbian Dionisio Miranda is sufering the same thing that Cotto previous opponents have, indicating that Cotto's body work is amazing.

"He is a very strong fighter, and hit extremely hard to the body, he loves to hit there" Miranda

Miranda who has a pro record of 19 wins, 2 loses and 18 knockouts is a Jr. Middleweight who is 6'1 in height.

"I simply go and fight with Cotto, I try to do exactly like Margarito but Cotto is a fighter that also likes to move forward. He is working a variety of things, backing up and moving forward cutting off the ring effectively" Miranda

Lau, another very tall middleweight who helped Cotto prepare for Mosley indicated:

"Miguel now is a much better boxer. He has worked very hard in improving his boxing skills and conditioning. He is looking very good and handles very well the pressure we are placing on him" Lau

Evangelista Cotto; uncle trainer and manager of the Caguas native indicated:
"All we are trying to do is to ensure Cotto is ready for Margarito's style... everything is going as planned. Now let's see if we can carry these things into the ring" Evangelista

Evangelista also dismissed rumors that Cotto has already peaked or is currently peaking. "Not true, sure he is already at a low weight but it is becuase we are training properly. Its simply that he has no problem in this weight class, thats why he looses the weight so easy"

"I have done my part and feel very happy with the work already done" Miguel Cotto

When Cotto was asked about so many experts who are actually picking Margarito and also fighting in Vegas, Cotto replied:

I guess no one is allowed to post their opinion, huh? Bottom line is that Cotto has gone low when he has been in trouble. Is that the Boricua pride everyone talks about?

Cotto is on a tremendous surge of confidence after beating Mosley and toying with Gomez. He talked about it in an interview. Obviously there have been indications everywhere that he went through a bit of a transformation. It's no surprise to hear one of his sparring partners referring to dramatic improvement in a period of just 9 months in a guy who's been fighting for most of his life. You can see it in his performances.

Can that confidence be shattered? What will happen if or when that happens? Should be interesting.

    So what? A camp is a training camp . . . that's what it is. And comes fight night . . . he'll be facing the real mccoy . . . so it's different.

I'm happy to hear good news from camp Cotto. However, nothing ****s up a fighters game plan quite like the other fighter on fight night, so we'll see.

Larry merchant: And cotto is hurt. his legs are shaky now, what a chance for Judah to win this fight. cotto is wobbly.. and judah is down. he's down from what it seems a big low blow from the battered miguel cotto...

keep my mother out of the blowing, cotto does it sufficiently enough.
