floyds not a welter to be fairs. He probably woulda never went higher then 140 an i really dont think pryor would beat him. Hes a little too sloppy to hit floyd. but if he does oh man. Chavez probably has the best chance. Hed whip taylors ass at 140 imo with only the early rounds bein interesting.

I dont consider Cotto a great fighter i think hes a very good fighter who can compete with the best of them but will always fall short against the greats of this era like Pac, i think if he was around in a stronger era like the 90's with the likes of De La Hoya,Trinidad,Wright,Quartey,Mosley,Jose Luis Lopez,Vernon Forrest,Terry Norris,Fernando Vargas he would struggle to get to the top of the pile and would have more losses than he has now but he would be competitive with them all,Great is a word i reserve only to the best of the best and Cotto is not the best of the best still a hell of a fighter and a credit to the sport of boxing.

Barry McGuigan and Pipino Cuevas are HOF members, to name a few. Cotto definitely has HOF-resume

On esb, if your not a name Ali then your career is trash. He'll even Ali has threads similar to this. Stop degrading our sports best fighters of this era and start giving them some praise. Cotto has a very good resume and will be hof worthy

Cotto has always been a very solid B level fighter with the best promotion behind him. Add in the rabid PR fans, and you get the overhyping.

No black american fighter beat up Cotto. I doubt the pitter patter puncher beat up cotto, despite how *****s paint it like it was a beatup. Afterall they DKSAB..

Cotto however beat up a few black americans.

he's just very popular and fought other popular fighters, i agree with the OP its very easy to overrated someone like him

but then again he's a multiple weight champ so he's a lock for the HOF

McGuigan's top win is better than Cotto's, but Cotto obviously has more depth to his resume. Cuevas is a complete anomaly to me.

If you're going to bring up the worst fighters in the HOF, you have to consider that there are better fighters than Cotto yet to be inducted. Curry was a class above Cotto, and despite the perception of him as an underachiever he still has a very solid resume. Eddie Booker has wins over 3 Hall of Famers, was regarded as one of the best fighters of a talent-packed era, and still hasn't been inducted.

Cotto probably deserves a spot in the HOF, but some people talk as if he is this legendary multi-time champion who cleaned out 3 divisions. I wouldn't have him in the top 15 at 140 or top 30 at 147.

How tha **** do you overhype warrior mentality??? If this was the main criteria out of the current top 2 p4p fighters, they probably wouldnt even be on the list.
