Basically he said 2 more fights and he is going to retire. Depending on the outcome of his june fight he will fight a big name in fall 2010 and hang them up afterwards.

He says he is going to make changes for training camps in 2010.

He said he feels fine and that it was just swelling that he received from the Pacquiao fight.

He mentioned he has invested his money well and owns businesses and that he is set for life and his family as well so that when he retires he wont be coming back.

He seems like the kind of fighter who'd walk away at the right time and stay away for good. my guess is that he'll probably fight somebody in the lower end of the top 10 in June then go for Mosley/Berto or Margarito later.

No sound here just now but I can translate what Cotto said in the transcript.

He says he is contemplating retirement and will have "one, maybe two more fights"

He says that his family would no doubt have him retire sooner than now, but he has been a boxer to provide economic stability for them and they respect that.

"The date we have in mind for the next fight is next summer, depending on how it goes, we'll see. For the moment, I'm going to rest during the Christmas period and then begin to train little by little."

He says he is fine and content, but hasn't watched the fight as he was there so knew what it was like. He said he would have liked to have been allowed to finish the bout, but respected the ref's decision.

Foreman could upset Cotto. JLC would be much safer, but I don't want to see JLC take a beating. How about that IBF title holder, Isaac H?

Well a Margo rematch is def out of the picture. Cotto said it's a "closed Chapter". I don't think Castillo needs to be fighting anymore.
I would like to see him fight Collazo on the eve of the Puerto Rican Day Parade at MSG.

i wanted him to retire but 2 more fights is ok.... but to be honest, Im not sure id favor him over many top guys at this point....

but regardless, i hope he can finish out strong.... until he retires hes my favorite active fighter and ill be rooting for him no matter what.

i think he needs to train with more intensity. every time i watch video clips of him he throws a combination on the heavy bag or mitts then walks off with a two three secound break.

2 fights is fine by me...maybe 1 warm up and then go out takin on a champ, maybe Ike for the IBF and retire after that.
Whatever he decides in my mind he is still the man and definitely a boxer that people wnt forget.

Cotto will be missed without a doubt. A great great fighter as a fan I would love to see Cotto fight multiple more times, but of course I understand where he is coming from and only wanting 2 more fights.
