Team Pac wanted 143, Cotto wanted 145, Cotto changed his mind and tried to backpedal to 147 when Pac said he wanted the title on the line, WBO basically forced Cotto to take the fight or only Pacman will be fighting for the belt. As an incentive team Pac is willing to pay for Cotto's sanctioning fees. Thats how its done, so quit bitching both fighters agreed and signed the fight no excuses.

Untrue. Roach said he's ok with Cotto coming in at 147. And even though Roach said that they'll call the fight off if Cotto comes in heavier than that, my opinion is that Roach would probably give a half more pound of leeway and accept the fight if Cotto comes in at 147.5 (which Cotto won't, because then he won't be able to retain the title either way).

cotto should have refused... why does every hater pin the 145 catch-weight on team pacquiao? if the challenged team sees no sign of winning then they should have refused the challenge, they accepted the fight and the consequences that come with it. team cotto are not the whiners unlike some cotto fans.

remember: no fight will happen regardless of who challenges and what the conditions of the fight will be unless the other party agrees to the challenge.
