Ever seem to notice that fighters Miguel beats tend to pick up world titles after Cotto whoops them?......Here's some examples.

Carlos Maussa was 17-0 when Cotto fought him and Cotto beat him easily enroute to a 8th round TKO. Four fights later Maussa brutally knocks out Vivian Harris to win the WBA title.

Lovemore Ndou was 38-6-1 when Cotto fought him and Cotto won the fight by unanimous decision. Eight fights later Ndou wins the vacant IBF belt.

Ricardo Torres was 28-0 when Cotto fought him and Cotto won the grueling fight by 7th round KO. Torres in the next two fights after wins the vacant WBO title.

Paulie Malignaggi was 21-0 when Cotto fought him and Cotto beat him by unanimous decision. Two fights later Malignaggi beats Lovemore Ndou to win the IBF title.

Carlos Quintana was 23-0 when Cotto fought him and Cotto beat him by 6th round TKO. A year later Quintana pulls off the upset and beats Paul Williams for the WBO title.

Shane Mosley was already an established star in the sport and future Hall of Famer but even he has gone to greater success since losing to Cotto and is now the #1 ranked welterweight in the world. And even Mosley said that he learned some things from Cotto when they fought but Mosley is not the same kind of example as the ones above but I thought I would give him a mention also.

And yes people I realize how much of a nuthugging thread I made right now.

Get back to me when Cotto actually WINS a title instead of squatting on them.

Even with his track record, ***gots like you still find ways to discredit Cotto..

Maybe he should have won a ABC belt and fought bums for 10 years like Calzaghe. Yea that's better then fighting the toughest and best fighters in two divisions.

    **** off you **** sucker.

Cotto is a top fighter. No question.

Suddenly the fans are drifting away from him. They'll be sorry.

Well one factor is that Miguel is facing championship caliber opposition meaning any of these guys is good enough to get a belt. They are not bums (except Jennings and Gomez). The other factor is who doesn't have a belt these days? I mean there are so many belts out there that I could probably buy a belt for a quarter at the bubble gum machine.
