pacquiao wont be able to put cotto down as if margarito cant do it then pacquiao wont be able to. Cotto needs to land a few big shot early as pacquiao will be confident in early on and if cotto doesnt earn his respect early in the fight then it would only get worse for cotto. i think its down to pacquiao being able to handle cotto's power and cotto handeling pacquiaos power. IMO.

:huh i can never get this so called cotto deceptive speed **** you Cottons have been increasingly chorused on.

cotto can have as much deceptive speed as he wants, but he's never going to be as fast as manny. funny part is, as fast as manny already looks in videos, he has more deceptive speed than cotto. that is actually what catches most of his opponents by surprise.

so if pacs already blazing speed on screen is nothing compared to reality, no way cottos gonna be able to put a candle to it. you Cottons better look for something else to cheer than cottos so called deceptive speed. lolz :nut

I'll take timing and precision over speed personally.

First I'm not betting on this fight because I don't have any ****ing idea who is going to win but i support Cotto. The idea about the Cotto deceptive speed is that he has very good timing and great Jab. These are the best weapons against a very fast opponent. Watch once again the Mosley-Cotto fight if you wish and you are going to see my point. Mosley is faster but Cotto's perfect jab and timing disrupt his rhythm and neglects his speed

Trading with Pacquaio is never a good idea, even for Cotto. People underestimate how strong Pac really is.

I think going into this fight PAC fans are overestimating Manny's (In light of the RH K.O.) power & underestimationg Cotto's.

Cotto does not have to be as fast as Pac. He just needs to neutralize the speed with the jab and keep Pac off balance.

Dont be surprised to see Pac run out of gas. When was the last time you saw Pac go 12 rounds when he wasnt the agressor. It will be a totally different story for him to fight going backwards most of the fight.

Before COTTO will figure out PACMAN in your so called 3 rounds, COTTO is already kissing the canvas. If MARGARITO made him QUIT, this time he doesn't have to! Ask HATTON what happened to him. :hat

Im going for manny, but this is by no means something I would bet the ranch on.
cotto is a bodypuncher and bigger and stronger than anyone pac has fought.
the fact that pac started in a very low weight category and is fighting at a relatively heavy weight for him has to be considered.
plus the fact that cotto's a good bodypuncher too
also one thing that might make this interesting and no so great for pac is that cotto is naturally left handed, so he might be working on switching up as a strategy
I dont know how it is going to turn out, but I will say this
I think anyone who puts money on this fight will know if they won or lost by round 5

When Manny signed to fight Morales people said Manny was Ko'd at 113 pounds, how is he going to deal with a punch from a big 130 pound fighter like Morales and well we know how that story ends.

As Manny moves up in weight he gets stronger and his punch resistance has gotten better. Now I still think that it would be foolish of him to go wild and trade with Cotto, but it would also be stupid for Cotto to go wild. Both guys need to be carfeull here.

pac is somewhat strong in relation to his size but i feel cotto would be stronger come fight time. the weight difference would make sure cotto would be the stronger guy if cotto rehydrates properly which i think he can at 145.
