But it hurts! And it IS accurate, much more accurate than any of Floyd's last opponents.

I never said it wasn't accurate, nor did I compare it to PBF's last opponents.

Yeah, but did you see how Judah's jabs and left hands were getting smothered on the top of Cotto's forehead when he did throw them?

Cotto will hurt your hands by making you punch him in the forehead.

Hatton on the other hand goes in straight foward with his head up and his hands down.

But Capfunds, you keep talking about what PBF did with Hatton (not the same fighter as Cotto) to show PBF won't have the same success I assume. But then you talk about Judah and Mosley to show what Cotto can do, and neither are nearly as diversified offensively as PBF. Seems a bit unfair.

Yeah, but I believe that Judah and Mosley are closer to Mayweather than Hatton is to Cotto.

Also, I'm giving an example of two boxers. I suppose I could use Malinaggi as well, but that brings me to another point.

    Cotto has experience.

Hatton doesn't. Hatton hasn't faced a boxer in years.

I'm just pointing out that it's not as simple as his analysis suggests.

Honestly though, I think Paul Williams might be the most unbeatable welter out there right now with the best chance of beating Floyd.

    BUT

Floyd will take punishment in a fight against Cotto, and it's something he deserves in my opinion.

He's too disrespectful.......Mayorga disrespectful, but at least Mayorga tested himself by taking on the most difficult opponents.

...and Mayorga got the beatdown he deserved from running his mouth.

So then Mayweather only won because of Judahs inability to control
himmself. Alot of people say Judah won the first half of the fight. If he had composure he woulda beat him. Cotto took matters into his own hands and Knocked his ass out!! unlike Floyd who settles for a decision after being disrespected by Judah

Judah and Mosley fight nothing like PBF. Both are deficient in many areas PBF excels. Not to mention, Mosley is old (and I said this before the Cotto fight, when everyone was talking about PBF-Mosley after the DLH fight).

What does it matter than Hatton didn't have experience. What matters is that PBF DOES have experience against pressure fighters and stalkers. Cotto may be able to beat him (I doubt it), but I don't think these comparisons are as useful as you doing a straight up analysis of both fighters.

Facing the top boxers in the division isn't useful?

So you're discrediting everything Cotto has done and saying he would be no better if he faced, for instance, Clottey, Margarito, and Cintron?

    I don't get your point........

Experience is everything. Experience is why a guy like Berto who has all the athleticism in the world isn't dominating the division.

    He's green.

And when it comes to fighting guys that take angles and use the jab effectively, (Mosley, Judah, Malinaggi), Hatton doesn't have it.

FLOYD WOULD WIN THIS FIGHT BY A LATE TKO PROBABLY SAY ROUNDS 9 -12...COTTO WOULD PUT PRESSURE ON FLOYD BUT FLOYD WOULD PICK HIS SHOTS....SURE COTTO IS STRONGER THAN HATTON BUT FLOYD COULD BOX HIS WAY TO A DECISION EVEN IF HE WANTED TO...FLOYD BY 11TH ROUND KO/TKO

Is Hatton PBF? No....so talking about Hatton is irrelevant. You're not using equal comparison. You are using someone you think is green (Hatton just fought a boxer last year in Collazo) to show PBF's comparison, then using experienced fighters for Cotto. PBF has fought other more experienced fighters like Castillo. The point was you keep saying Cotto comes at angles and Hatton doesn't. So....PBF has fought others who do. And using Judah and Mosley are no more valid to compare to PBF than using Hatton to compare to Cotto. Why not just a straight up analysis, or at least use equal footing when comparing the fighters they have fought.

That other stuff you said....did you just make that up? I didn't say anything about Cotto being no better or good or any of that ****.

I think it is absolutely ridiculous for people to take away from Hatton-Mayweather that floyd would easily defeat cotto. Floyd faught well and was very impressive in his win, and im not trying to take anything away from his victory, but it must be said that floyd faught a smaller, less powerful, junior welterweight, who had a six inch reach disadvatage. Floyd was the bigger man in the fight in every sense of the phrase. That would not be the case with cotto. Hatton himself admitted that he could feel the difference in the weight classes and he proved it prior to the fight with a much lesser talented collazo. Floyd just fought a Junior welterweight the fight would go much differently fighting the most powerful welterweight in miguel cotto. Everyone wants to play on floyds speed, but cotto has shown that he can deal with speed. I mean yea floyds faster than judah and mosley but he also much less powerful. Yea he knocked out hatton but again hatton is a junior welterweight. Cotto hasn;t had issues with his chin since being a WW and has only actually been down once in his career. No one wants to mention the power advantage cotto has. When has floyd shown the ability to take the kind of punishment cotto dishes out. I mean unless he fights like he did against hoya he's gonna get hit. I mean you can go back and fourth weighing strengths and victories. I mean floyd would be favored and he might very well win but by no means will he KO, TKO cotto. Floyd hasn't KOed a WW since Sharmba mitchell he doesn't have the power to do so. The only way he wins is if he moves all night and wins on points. If he stands in front of cotto like he did hatton against the ropes cotto will make him pay. And that jab he throws is a power punch, which is what makes it much more effective than mayweathers jab. Mayweather doesn't jab he pot shots. If you watched the fight you heard roger telling him to pot shot.

Styles make fights. It's hard to see anyone beating Floyd. Cotto is improving, but Floyd goes to another level. If he beats Cotto, then everyone will cry for Margorito etc. Cotto, Margarito, Paul Williams, Cintron etc. should have an elimination tournament to determine who will fight Floyd in a mega fight late 2008/2009.
