If Oscar beats Cotto, then we'll most likely see PBF-DLH 2.

    I'm grateful but greedy.

    I want Mayweather-Cotto!

If the fight did so much harm, how come Mayweather's next fight(against a foreign fighter no less) did almost 90k buys? How come so many big fights were made after that fight? How come Pac/Barrera and Cotto/Mosely also did good numbers? I certainly would rather see Mayweather/Cotto over Mayweather/DLH II. However, Mayweather/DLH certainly did alot of good, and really boosted the sport. While it wasn't a great fight, it certainly wasn't a terrible fight either. And to everyone clamoring for a Floyd/Cotto fight, do you really think team Cotto would be pushing for this fight if Mayweather/DLH never happened?

Ever heard of a little show called 24/7? Or perhaps Dancing With The Stars? And those fights you mentioned coming off didn't have **** to do with Mayweather-De La Hoya.

Answer me this, whose idea was 24/7 and when was the first time it aired? Answer me another question, how much interest does ABC have in him being on their show if he never fought DLH? If you think some of those big fall fights had nothing to with DLH/Mayweather, that's your perogitive. I guess the Arum/DLH truce that occured not too long after that fight was just a coincidence. Arum just happened to put aside his differences with DLH after he pulled off a fight that pulled in almost 200 million. Hey, I guess anything is possible.

I think Millie might save us all from DLH-Cotto and DLH-Fraud II.

I don't think Cotto's people want him in with DLH because they realise he's not shot yet and can still take care of Cotto. If the Pride of Puerto Rico were to lose to DLH it would not be good marketing, however if he lost to Floyd, no big deal, everyone loses to Floyd...

Floyd has shown plenty of respect. He's participated in the two biggest fights this year. I definately want to see Mayweather/Cotto, but Money May just fought a couple of weeks ago. Let's at least give him a couple of months before we start crucifying him for not giving the fans yet another superfight.

From what I hear, it was Floyd's idea, and we obviously know when it first aired. Without Mayweather-De La Hoya 24/7, there probably wouldn't have been a Mayweather-Hatton 24/7. So maybe the Oscar fight did some good in the sense it helped provide a reality series for the Mayweather-Hatton. Yet, that fight, nor the series, effected the other fights what so ever.

I don't care, anyway you look at it, a fight which had that many viewers tune in only to be disappointed, is not good for the sport. Hyping up fights which don't deserve it, only make the casual fans more likely to dismiss big fights in the future as even more hype.

 You make it seem like Dancing With Stars was solely for A-listers. Mind you, Laila Ali and Evander Holyfield were on previously, and countless other C and D list "celebs" who I never even heard of.

So what are you saying? Arum all of a sudden realized the "star power" of De La Hoya after he fought Mayweather and just had to make a truce with him?

Seems to me you Floyd fans are under the impression that he is the basis of any and everything good in or about Boxing. Well, he isn't.

If Cotto does KO DLH, it will def. garauntee a fight with PBF. I'll be rooting for Miguel against DLH, but Floyd will then dismantle the PR warrior!!!!!

You know Fraud is praying for a gift decision of DLH over Cotto so he doesnt have to face Cotto in the ring.

wow, I dont know who you are but with barely 100 posts you already proved you are ****ing dumb as hell.

Let me word it out for your dumbass

Cotto's only options is fight DelaHoya OR his mandatory, PBF is not an option cause mayweather doesnt want the fight early in the year. So you want a cotto/DLh fight or a Cotto/Yuriy Nuzhnenko fight?

I can't make you use some of that ounce of common sense that you may or may not have been born with, but I'll try. Let's start with Mayweather/DLH fight. If people were so dissapointed by the fight, how come his fight with Hatton did almost 900k buys? I know what you said before, it was all because of 24/7 and DWTS. However, DWTS attracts mostly female viewers. I doubt it contributed to many PPV buys. As far as 24/7, if that show could attract that many PPV buys, even from a supposed dissapointing fighter, how come they don't do the show for other fighters? The answer is simple, the show will only work if the participants have some name recognition, and are interesting. Unfortunately, Mayweather is pretty much the only prime fighter with some mainstream recognition. That recognition, of course, has alot to do with his fight with DLH.

Now, on to Arum and DLH. Mayweather buys out his contract with Arum for 750k so that he could fight DLH. Arum continually bashes the fight, yet it's an overwhelming success. Arum could've had a piece of the pie if not for his petty feud with DLH. Realizing his mistake, Arum decides to bury the hatchet with DLH so that he doesn't lose anymore fighters or big paydays because of stupid feuds. This is my theory of course. I could be wrong, maybe the millions Arum lost out on from Mayweather/DLH fight had nothing to do with his truce with GBP. Maybe it's just a coincidence that this happened shortly after this fight.

As far as Floyd being the basis of everything that's good in boxing, I never once said that. DLH had alot to do with the resurgance boxing experienced this year. He gave Mayweather an opportunity, and he has been commited to making big fights. It just so happens that his fight with Mayweather was at the crux of this.
