Your health will be on he line, and your future in this sport will be on the line. Never give your opponent any advantages over you going into a fight...especially psychologically. That is dangerous. Ask Pac to come to 147 at least to fight you. Your chances are greater, you'll feel better, and your style gives you a chance against Pac...at 147.

Cotto should sign with GBP where he'll have a voice rather than being dictated too.

You can give the same advice to Pac in regards to his demands of a catch weight.

If he accepts it then that means he knows he can make the weight. I'm sure Cotto isn't stupid enough to risk his career/health if he didn't know if he can do it.

It does not mean that at all. All Cotto excepting the fight means, is he excepts the fight; that's it. As to his reason it could be any number of things. Boxing is a business and a rather nefarious one at that. Cotto could know he can not make the weight but the Payout is big enough so it does not matter. And as far as risking his Health, this is boxing. Everytime you step into the ring you risk your health. He just got a cut that required 68 stitches.

I can tell you from experience of all the reasons to take a fight the last one considered is a fighter's health.

ufortunately, cotto fights whoever arum puts in front of him and i'm sure he doesn't argue too much with him. that being said, i think the fight will go down on arum's/roach's terms, but i really hope he says no to a catchweight too.

Sides isn't Oscar's wife Puerto Rican? He can always use that to his advantage.

Stop posting ******...The only ones that are scared are Pacquiao and Roach asking WW's to fight at bull**** catchweights where they most likely have to drain themselves and come in exhausted at fight night. I've actually been drifting away from the idea of Cotto vs. Pacquiao. I much rather want to see the rematch of Cotto vs. Mosley. No advantages to anyone, two legit WW's going H2H for what will definitely be an action packed night.
