I see.....But boxing is like an onion...it has many layers to this sport. Cotto and PAC have advisors and a team surrounding them to help make the most their careers. Roach knows there is a wall fighters hit....no one knows for sure what that wall is, whether its moving up in weight, fighting a particular style or pushing oneself too hard or too little in training camp. But the "Team" of the boxers' leave a lot of the intricate details to them.

I'm sure PAC and Cotto would be fine fighting at 147. ANd I'm sure Cotto and PAC would have just as much a chance to win at 147, 146 or 145 as they do now. Cotto can win this one and I wouldn't be surprised if he did, no matter the weight. I'd be less surprised to see PAC winning due to the dynamics and style match up between the two.

I agree with you on that point....there would be LESS excuses made if it were at 147. But there are still going to be excuses should PAC or Cotto win.

If they fight at 145 and Cotto wins....He'll still have excuses to why he beat PAC but they will be LESS excuses than if he'd faced if he had the fight at 147.

Same in PAC's situation....at 147 and should he win...Less excuses by boxing fans as a group. At 145 should he beat Cotto there will be MORE excuses but at the end of the day there will alwyas be excuses.

They have to weigh all of that into their consideration on where this fight takes place amoung MANY other factors.

It's strange the people who hate the catchweight seem to think that Pac winning is a forgone conclusion. They keep saying that in order for Pac to get full props, the fight has to be @ 147. But what about Cotto? At what weight will he get full props if he wins? Certainly not 147, where he will be 100% and still outweigh Pac by 13 pounds.

And it looks like I'll mention it another 20,000 times, some people are too slow to follow. Cotto can decline if 145 isn't good for him or isn't "safe" as I already said a couple of times. They declined once when they thought the catchweight was ridiculous, they can do it again if it remains ridiculous. 145 is what COTTO ASKED FOR NOT ROACH.

Cotto is going against the 2nd best fighter in the world in Pac so if Cotto wins, he gets props. Defeating Pac right now is huge for any fighter let alone Cotto.

Man, you are just making these numbers up lol. You probably did the same thing with Pac-Dlh. Weight is not an issue when it comes to guys like Floyd and Pac fighting. Their skill set is so high that they can make a weight advantage not in their favor a non-factor in a fight. Stop crying already. Pac isn't lil Pac anymore.

Why is it that you don't have a problem with this fight being fought at a catch weight, and why haven't you mentioned the fact that Pac turned Shane down? Will you say it's a Top Rank thing, and that all you want to see is the fight? Stop dick riding Pac Scar...

Well thats false considering Cotto has never before come in above 160. I dont even think he's hit 160 before.

Cotto at 145 or 147 is going to weigh the same. Which is roughly 158. The only way he doesn't is if he loses muscle mass which would be dumb.

Arum can't fight for Manny once in the ring....Manny will wake up and realize what it is like to be in there with a true welter weight who can
    box and punch!!!
