I was poring over Cotto's resume in his 7 year career and WOW...

He has a lot of name fighters on there and he took them all on during their primes.

It got me thinking....If Cotto decisioned margarito in their epic match, would he be P4P #1?

With a list of Antonio Margarito, Shane Mosley, Zab Judah, Carlos Quintana, Ricardo Torres, Demarcus Corley, Randall Bailey, Kelson Pinto, Lovemore N'Dou, and Carlos Maussa....And an undefeated record.

don't be ******ed 8 or 9 is still a good ranking.

and no, he would not be no1 with a decision win over Antonio Margarito. Thats pretty ****ing obvious

He wouldn't be no 1 with a W over Margarito but he would be up there, top 4-5

In their primes? Please. Cotto is a decent fighter but losses 3-5 will happen over the next 2 years and he will be finished. Unless Tony kills him in the rematch. I hope his life insurance policy is good. Judah was too small at 47. Judah stops cotto at 40. Mosley was old. Pinto was never anything in the pros. Corley was more concerned with his eyeliner than he was the KO. Torres couldn't finsh the job and couldn't do it in his last fight either. Cotto is a decent fighter but let's not get carried away.

I dont think Cotto is gonna be one of those guys thats still fighting when he's past his prime. And its not a guarantee you'll see him lose again

great resume, but im not sure it would make him #1 p4p. maybe top 3 if he defeated margarito.

yeah you nailed it on the head... and if he beat margarito he woudl have been facing oscar right now... and if he beat oscar he might be p4p #1 and aroudn the time that happened floyd vs cotto would be inevitable

I agree. Cotto's loss to margarito hurt his career A LOT...

If Cotto won, he was on his way to a mega fight with oscar...If he beats Oscar, I honestly believe he would've become a star in America. He lost a lot of $ and a lot of potential fame by losing to margo...Never really understood why Arum matched him up with margo TBH.
